A Glimpse into Bajau Life & Coral Reefs
Located within the calm, protected waters of the Togean Islands National Park, Kabalutan is a remote floating village home to the Bajau, often known as the sea people. For generations, the Bajau have lived in harmony with the ocean — building their homes above water, navigating the sea with ease, and passing down a deep respect for nature through their way of life.
While the village sits at a distance from Uma Resort, the journey to reach it is part of the experience — a passage through the still, protected waters of the national park, surrounded by raw natural beauty.
As part of our services, we offer a day trip to Kabalutan Village. On the return route, the boat will stop at two snorkeling spots, where vibrant coral reefs and calm waters create an ideal setting to explore the marine biodiversity of the Togean Islands.
The trip includes a picnic-style lunch, packed and prepared for you to enjoy along the way.
